I love supermarkets in Japan

Let's take a moment to talk about how awesome supermarkets in Japan are. When I was in Melbourne, there were a few (tiny) Japanese supermarkets, and many asian supermarkets with a tiny Japanese section. I LOVED going to these to try and find my favourite Japanese ingredients. Anyway, what i'm trying to say that going to the supermarket over here is awesome! I can make any Japanese food I want, and it's all so cheap! The price of sashimi in Japan, compared to Australia is so cheap! I also love how you can buy all sorts of delicious bentos from the supermarket, which makes it super easy to prepare an awesome picnic.
Here's some pictures of some of the deliciousness you can find.
Pickles!

Sushi!

Sashimi!

Waffle sandwiches!

Japanese Beer!

  4. When we lived back in the States, going grocery shopping was something I did to get done, and I almost always did it by myself or had to drag my husband with me! Here, though? He loves going to the markets and seeing what fun things they have! It's always a fun trip, and we always bring back something new and exciting to try out!
